The baked pastries are fresh and delicious, and there is a good variety to choose from. The expresso drinks are expertly made, and there is always something intriguing offered as a special. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, whether you are sharing time with a friend or working on your laptop. This is a popular spot, so the seating can fill up at times, so plan accordingly.

Great shop! Love the wide windows and high top tables facing them. Very pretty and not overwhelming inside! The cortado was one of the best I've ever had, fruity, complex, flavorful, and Soo espressoey! The drip was alright. Advertised as a light roast but tasted a little burnt/baggy. Didn't get to try any of the food but it all looks (and smells ) great. Got a bag of decaf I'm excited to try at home! Staff was very friendly too :D

When I say "we're going to Catalpa" to my dog Piper, she immediately perks up and heads for her favorite cafe. She loves the attention she gets and her part of the ginger molasses cookie. Great place, been going since it opened.

Been going to Catalpa for 5 years now almost religiously. I don’t really understand where the negative comments come from, the coffee is good, the employees are nice and good at their jobs. Folks gotta chill out, if your drink isn’t to your liking kindly ask for an adjustment, I never had an issue doing so. People are saying they have been charger for putting extra milk in their lattes (which tbh why are you even doing that ruining a latte) or for cups. I literally earlier today asked for a cup of ice and it wasn’t a problem. People gotta chill. Seems like a lot of unreliable narrators yo me.

Catalpa, both in Greenfield and Northampton, serves great coffee and both locations are great to work from. Bring a friend or a laptop - and grab yourself an oatmeal raisin cookie!

Starbucks vibe but without corporate ownership. This independently owned coffee spot hosts deliciously crafted coffee, macha, and homemade treats with a vegan-friendly menu. Be sure to stop in after visiting the other shops downtown.
